The CNE was an organization founded in 1879 to showcase the latest innovations in agriculture, technology and the arts to Canadians. During its 140 years the focus has evolved from agriculture to industry, and today, to mass consumerism. As it occurs in the last weeks of August, it has also come to signify the end of summer pleasures. These images capture the CNE over the course of 6 years.
